Teen Wolf - STEREK AU - lumberjacks

A new crew of tree loggers comes near Beacon Hills working on a commission.
They’re understaffed and overworked as it is, so Derek decides to hire someone.
He doesn’t expect a local college kid, Stiles, looking for a summer job.

One night they get wasted together.
Or rather, Stiles gets wasted. Derek is pleasantly buzzed.
It’s a peaceful night filled with bad jokes and horrible puns about wood (Stiles) and companionable silence (Derek).
“You should smile more often.You look less grizzly bear and more teddy bear then,” Stiles slurs and Derek is impressed that he can manage entire sentences in his drunk state.
“I am not a teddy bear,” he grits out, for argument’s sake.
“You so are. All you need is cuddling. Oh. I know! Let’s cuddle!”
“What the fu…arghhhh!”
(They don’t talk about it later.)

And it does; keep him awake at night, that is. By the end of the second season he just looks more and more tired, losing sleep because Stiles really does believe he’s a horrible person. He’s confronted with his morals more now than ever before and he has these choices at his fingertips, like helping Jackson or killing him and he would kill Jackson, he would, in order to stop him from killing people. He’d watch people suffer and not care, like Matt, because he has more to worry about, like the lives of the people who are important to him, like his Dad, like Scott, and eve after Matt is dead and gone he just doesn’t care. In fact, Stiles is glad Matt is gone and he might be a little too content knowing that Matt had suffered, in the end, and when he’s alone in his room at night he stays awake, his mind mulling over that little bit of information. He is glad someone suffered a gruesome death, he would kill a kid his own age for the simple fact that they are killing, threatening his friends and family, but the icing on the cake-the bit that will forever keep Stiles awake in the dead of night-is the thought of how he killed his own Mother. He believes he’s a horrible person, it keeps him awake at night and it’s all just morally gray.
